My VSG has been postponed. I’d failed pre-op testing. A quick note from my cardiologist took care of the heart clearance; however, dark spots on my x-rays required further testing.
They turned out to be benign cysts, so *whew*
My next appointment is January 6, 2011. We’ll have to get reapproval.
Today, with insurance approval, I’ve scheduled vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) surgery. We’ve set the date for Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Dr. Merriman of Surgical Specialists is my bariatric surgeon. For Thanksgiving dinner, I’ll be having clear liquids. But the holidays are about loved ones, not so much the food.
